Most hemorrhoid treatments center on what is called a 'fixative treatment'. The common goal in this treatment is to stop the flow of blood to the hemorrhoid. When the blood flow is restricted, or cut off, it causes the hemorrhoid to shrivel up and eventually fall off. The scar tissue from this also helps in ensuring that another hemorrhoid does not develop.
Treatment can vary from person to person and on the severity of the hemorrhoids. Most generally though, you can treat hemorrhoids relatively easily without any type of surgical intervention or procedures.
Treat Hemorrhoids with Diet
Your diet is a big factor in both the cause and the treatment of hemorrhoids. A diet that is insufficient in fiber can lead to harder bowel movements which cause straining. That straining leads to a bulging, or a moving, of the veins in the anal cavity resulting in either internal or external hemorrhoids. A diet with adequate fiber can loosen the bowel movement helping with natural healing. This same occurrence is also found when there is an inadequate intake of liquids, such as water.
